Artechaski created these beautiful, handmade rutilated quartz gemstone with macrame necklaces. Each necklace features a one-of-a-kind design that showcases an rutilated quartz stone set in macrame.

To begin with, Artechaski meticulously weaves one or more colors of high quality macrame that fully encompasses the edges and back of the stone.  Also, as part of the customizations of each unique design, the macrame expands in a customized decorative pattern.  Also, each one-of-a-kind creation includes various additional custom features – such as embedded beads and floral patterns.  Finally, the macrame cord provides a sliding closure for universal fit.

Next, a hand-selected rutilated quartz gemstone provides the centerpiece for the necklace.  Rutilated quartz contains thin, elongated inclusions of the mineral rutile. Importantly, the titanium dioxide composition of the rutile provides the distinctive, darker coloration of the needle-like inclusions in the stone.

Mines throughout the world provide deposits of aventurine.  Notably, rutilated quartz deposit locations include:

• Brazil – miners in Brazil first discovered the stone during the 1940’s
• United States – especially in North Carolina, Virginia, and New Hampshire
